Born in the town of Abyeon in the Lower Class neighborhood of Seventh-Gate, Leon’s Father Androl was a soldier in the army and died in a border raid when he was young. His Mother Olivia is a baker and still in Abyeon last time he checked. The youngest child in a family with 2 older Sisters (Peya and Laura) he was picked on as a youth. Eventually he started fighting back and got back at his tormentors. He was imprisoned for short stints throughout his youth which ultimately culminated in the murder of a Yeomen at the age of 16 during a robbery. He was pursued by the Law until he left that territory and changed his name to Leon.

Disowned by family and community he hasn’t spoken or written to them in 8 years. He made his living as an brigand on the roads until he met Amelia, a traveling singer, and offered to escort her to the next town. They traveled together for a year and Leon was happy during that time but she left him suddenly without leaving a note. He tried to find her fearing that someone might have abducted her but it was ultimately futile, heartbroken he has become a less trusting person and reverted back to his old ways in a more professional capacity (assassin). He enjoys gambling and music often to his own detriment but sometimes he is able to turn it to advantage and has managed to accumulate enough money in between jobs doing one or both of those things.

Recently he has found himself in the employ of a knightly patron offering redemption for past indiscretions. This patron mercifully didn’t ask Leon which indiscretions he seeks to redeem himself of for that might take a very long time indeed. This might be a changing point in his life but he’s not sure which direction it will lead him.

Songs of the Realm
“The Nomad of High River” – Lively tune about a nomad who intends to travel up a river and finds that his journey is easier the more companions he has, eventually he realizes that paddling upstream wasn’t the best idea and finds a new group to travel with.

“The Sage and The Sleeping Mountain” – A comedic tune about a Sage with no common sense who approaches a sleeping giant thinking it is a rock formation. He falls down the slope and his book satchel stops his fall the giant pursues but slips on loose pebbles and falls off the cliff. Ultimately the sage is saved by dumb luck and learned something important, “Let a sleeping giant lie”
